Hemp oil is becoming increasingly popular and is more readily available than ever before. But it’s also easy to get lost in the terms, claims, and different types of hemp oils available on the market. We’ve answered some of the most common questions we receive at Synchronicity to shed some light on this quickly expanding product.
We’ll talk about the difference between whole plant, full spectrum, lipid infused hemp oil and broad spectrum or isolate. There’s a lot to learn about the hemp plant, how the oil is extracted, what the process is, and what the quality of the plant is to begin with.
It’s important to note that hemp oil and CBD isolate are not the same thing. While CBD is showing great potential to have a wide array of benefits, it’s only one of the many hundreds of beneficial compounds found in the hemp plant.
Rather than isolate that one compound, at Synchronicity we see the plant as a whole, and the way the various compounds work together to create a more effective and higher quality hemp oil is what we’re most interested in creating and sharing with the world. This approach allows the body to access the full range of beneficial compounds including phytocannabinoids, terpenes, polyphenols, flavonoids, fatty acids, and other potentially healthful benefits.
The hemp plant is one that keeps on giving, and when treated with respect and reverence, there is real magic that can be extracted and made from this healing crop. Hemp in the US has a long and strange history, but now that laws are loosening and the true medicinal benefits of the hemp plant are coming to light, we are able to create and provide a product that is truly changing people’s lives.
What is full spectrum hemp oil?
Full-spectrum hemp oils are made with whole plant hemp extracts that contain all of the beneficial phytocannabinoids (CBD, CBG, CBN, THC and others), terpenes (beta-caryophyllene, b –pinene, humulene, and limonene), plus flavonoids, polyphenols, and other important hemp-derived phytocompounds. In contrast, some hemp oil products are made from isolate or broad spectrum concentrates, and do not contain many of the beneficial phytonutrients.
Agricultural hemp is an incredible plant that contains over 100 different phytocannabinoids, plus many other types of nutrients. And the best way to benefit from this amazing bounty of nature is to utilize as much of the plant as possible in a finished product.
Full-spectrum hemp oil allows the body to access the full range of beneficial compounds including CBD, but also all of the other phytocannabinoids, terpenes, polyphenols, fatty acids, and other potentially healthful components. The key to this high level efficacy is all in the process.
Only full-spectrum hemp oil can deliver the “true entourage effect ™ ” which refers to the combined effect of the phytocannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other beneficial compounds in the hemp plant working together in synergy in your body. As a result, Synchronicity full-spectrum hemp oils foster enhanced therapeutic benefits that other oils lack.
What does whole plant mean?
Whole plant extract and full spectrum oil have sometimes been used interchangeably. They are similar in that they both contain a wide range of cannabinoids naturally present in hemp, however whole plant extract also contains fats, waxes and other fibrous materials. It does, as is apparent in the term, use the whole plant to create a high-quality hemp oil. And when industrial hemp is used, this means that the levels of THC are close to zero. All of our products contain less than 0.3% THC, and these trace amounts lend to the true entourage effect ™ without creating a psychotoxic effect or “high”.
Industrial hemp is classified as the non-psychoactive cannabis sativa plant and is grown legally in over 25 states under the Federal Farm Bill Section 7606. Industrial hemp plants must be inspected and certified as such by the state in which they are grown.
What is lipid infused hemp oil?
The Synchronicity Difference
Unlike most other hemp oil companies, Synchronicity employs proprietary lipid infusion process by which a carrier oil (usually coconut) is used to transfer all of the plant’s compounds like essential fatty acids, phytonutrients, and cannabinoids into the final product while preserving nature’s intended balance.
All of our hemp comes from our own sustainable farm in Pueblo, Colorado. Our Chief Science Officer, Tim Gordon has dedicated 25+ years cross-breeding and improving hemp strains to produce the most nutrient-rich plants from genetically-superior seeds. And with our patented processes, the result is the highest quality hemp oil with maximum levels of phytonutrients. No other hemp oil company can match our decades of tireless research and development. And no other hemp oil company has access to our genetically-superior plants.
We employ complete vertical integration which ensures the highest quality control for all of our products. This allows us to control 100% of the entire operation – from hand-cultivation to refinement in our lab – which provides traceability from seed-to-bottle and guaranteed consistency. Not all hemp oils are created equal, and you’ll notice the difference in Synchronicity hemp oil products.
These superior raw materials are put through our proprietary, whole-plant lipid infusion process that preserves natural cellular bonds and phytonutrient content. The result: the most efficacious full-spectrum hemp oil with over 4-TIMES MORE phytonutrients than competitive oils.
Lastly, Synchronicity uses respected independent labs to verify our claims regarding nutrient levels and efficacy of all of our products. This ensures you’re always getting the very best hemp oil products on the planet that deliver a True Entourage Effect ™ for maximum results. We used one of these accredited labs to test how long CBD tincture lasts!
For every batch of our hemp oil there is a Certificate of Analysis (COA) available online. Synchronicity uses multiple accredited, third-party labs to identify, record and analyze the phytonutrient compounds in our proprietary hemp strains. We cross-breed specific strains using genetic sequencing in our R&D facility which are cultivated in our greenhouses and outdoor farms without pesticides of any kind. Our hemp flower is then independently tested to be certain it contains the highest possible phytocompound concentrations and the broadest spectrum of phytonutrients, essential terpenes, and is free of heavy metals and any impurities.
