Why You Should Take CBD Every Day

Should I take CBD every day? Will I get high with CBD? What are the benefits of CBD? These are some of the most common questions we get asked by our customers.

CBD is produced from Industrial Hemp. It is a phytocannabinoid, i.e. a cannabinoid produced by a plant. It is found in large quantities in products such as Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil.

Research suggests that CBD may have several potentially helpful properties, such as anti-inflammatory, anti-depression, and anti-anxiety ones. However, more research is required before we can use it to address specific health-related issues. In the meantime, CBD can be used to support a healthy individual’s body and mind.

The Ancient Chinese, as well as the Romans and Ancient Greeks, knew about the potential benefits of cannabis. Hemp has also been used for its fibers since 8,000 years ago.

Since 2018, the production, sale, and consumption of CBD have been legalized across all 50 states, at the federal level. As consumers have started to experiment with CBD, CBD producers have come up with some highly creative CBD products, from coffees and teas to bath bombs, candy, chocolates, and cookies, not to mention hair products, potato chips, and even toilet paper!

We believe that Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil has the potential to help people sustain their physical health and good mood, helping keep your mind relaxed and stress-free. Here are some examples of how taking CBD every day may help you maintain your overall feeling of well-being.

Mental Health

CBD may help support our brain’s health and mental balance thanks to its interaction with serotonin, a brain neurotransmitter.

Serotonin also regulates appetite and sleep patterns. Low levels of serotonin are linked with increased appetite and disrupted sleep, as well as depression.

Because CBD interacts with the serotonin receptors, it may help our bodies make better use of the existing serotonin in our brain. For example, a 2014 study and a further 2015 study found that, when CBD is administered in high concentrations, it stimulates a serotonin receptor called 5-HT1A and ultimately alleviates anxiety. It also added that it did so with minimal narcotic features and an excellent safety profile.

By taking CBD on a daily basis, consumers may be able to support their mental health and keep at bay depression and anxiety. It may also help balance their appetite.

Physical Health

Several studies suggest that CBD may have anti-inflammatory properties.

Inflammation is a natural response of the body in case of injury. Sometimes, however, the body gets out of sync and produces inflammation without any reason. Inflammation causes pain, which is why arthritis and other inflammatory diseases are painful.

A 2015 trial concluded that “cannabinoids are safe, modestly effective analgesics that provide a reasonable therapeutic option in the management of chronic non-cancer pain.” A 2016 study showed that topical CBD creams had therapeutic potential for relieving pain caused by arthritis in rats.

Therefore, CBD may help with both preventing inflammation and limiting the resulting pain. You may help your body maintain its balance and prevent it from producing inflammation, thus improving your quality of life and helping you lead a pain-free lifestyle.

Skin Health

Thanks to CBD’s anti-inflammatory qualities, many cosmetics companies have included CBD in their topicals, especially face creams.

Acne and other skin conditions are caused by skin inflammations. CBD may help your skin sustain its balance and retain its health and elasticity. This is supported by a 2019 study that concluded that CBD topical creams were effective in improving skin disorders and inflammations.

Consumers can apply CBD-rich face creams and serums on their skin to moisturize it and keep it healthy and supple.

Better Sleep

When we are relaxed and anxiety-free, we can truly enjoy a good night’s rest. A restful night helps us have a productive and active life at work, at home, and with friends.

Taking CBD on a daily basis may help you stay relaxed and in tune with your body. You can then enjoy a healthy sleep pattern and more rewarding days.

Make Sure Your CBD Is of Excellent Quality

When you choose your CBD for everyday use, make sure you are choosing American producers with certified CBD products. There are several things you can watch for to ensure the high quality of your product.

Certificate of Analysis

Your product should carry a Certificate of Analysis (CoA), ideally issued by a third-party lab, which verifies the ingredients. The CoA shows how much CBD your product contains, as well as how many other cannabinoids and Hemp compounds, the level of THC, the presence of any heavy metals and other unwanted ingredients, and more.

Sustainable Hemp

Ideally, your CBD product should be produced from sustainably grown Industrial Hemp. This ensures that Hemp is clean and pure and doesn’t contain pesticides and heavy metals such as arsenic, cadmium, chromium, or mercury. This is particularly important since Hemp is a phytoremediation plant, used to clean polluted soils since antiquity..

American CBD Products

Although the American CBD market is still unregulated, American Hemp growers are licensed and have to grow Hemp according to strict regulations. Likewise, American CBD producers are in great competition: they are constantly striving to produce excellent quality CBD products.

From plant to bottle, all of our products are produced in Colorado.

Accreditation

The American CBD market has started to organize itself. The US Hemp Authority is issuing certification for companies that follow excellent practices. This certification checks the full production process, from quality control, farming, and manufacturing to product labeling. It also ensures the Hemp Oil product follows the rules and regulations set by the FDA about health claims.

Health Claims

Don’t trust CBD producers who make extravagant health claims that haven’t yet been proven. Although CBD has shown us great potential, studies and clinical trials are still underway to verify CBD’s potential. There is a fast-growing body of research around CBD and Hemp compounds but we still need more.

Crucial questions still need to be answered before we can start using CBD and other Hemp compounds medicinally. For example, what is the right dosage for each condition? This is particularly important, as research suggests that CBD may be biphasic, i.e. have one effect at a low dose and its opposite—or no effect—at a high one.

Then, there are the questions of contraindications. For example, CBD may increase intraocular pressure—the pressure inside the eye—so it may be harmful to glaucoma sufferers. Similarly, CBD for tinnitus sufferers may not be the best idea, as research suggests it may worsen the symptoms.

Next, there is the question of how the various compounds interact with each other. For example, CBD has been found to temper some of THC’s adverse side effects. Found in large quantities in marijuana (Industrial Hemp only has minute quantities, under 0.3%), THC is the cannabinoid that is responsible for a sense of ‘high.’ However, it also raises blood pressure, may cause psychotic episodes, and has been linked to schizophrenia, especially when consumed by youngsters. Could CBD be used to treat addiction in the future, as some studies suggest?

Finally, there is the question of interaction with medicines. For example, CBD may increase the length of time that drugs stay in our system. This increases their bioavailability—the amount that reaches the bloodstream—and therefore their effect.

Such complex questions can only be answered with years of research, studies, and clinical trials on humans. Only then can CBD and Hemp compounds be used in a medicinal capacity.

You Won’t Get High with CBD

We earlier mentioned THC. THC is the hallucinogenic and psychotropic cannabinoid that creates the feeling of ‘high’.

For CBD products to be legal throughout the United States, they must contain under 0.3% THC. That’s why taking CBD, even on an everyday basis, will not make you high.

“CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential… CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile.”

CBD has few and minor side effects, such as dry mouth, drowsiness, or appetite changes. These can be avoided by changing the CBD strength or the type of product you have chosen. Between tinctures, capsules, oils, and pills, not to mention all the edible CBD products available on the market, you are sure to find a Hemp Oil product that works for you.

Of course, you need to buy your Hemp Oil products from reputable, trustworthy brands that run tests to verify the THC content of their products.

Experiment with CBD Products

Everybody is different. Our metabolism, health expectations, age, and lifestyle differ. A CBD product that your mom uses may not work the same for you, or may require a completely different dose.

That is why we suggest you experiment with various CBD products. If CBD tinctures don’t work for you, how about CBD capsules? If you find a CBD lotion too runny, how about trying a CBD body oil that looks lusher?

To find the right dosage for you, we suggest you “start low, go slow”: start at a low dose, perhaps 5-10 mg, and increase it slowly over the course of several days, if not weeks. It is also good to experiment with various CBD strengths.

Some consumers prefer microdosing, i.e. taking small CBD quantities frequently throughout the day. Others prefer one bigger dosage in a single go. Listen to your body and see how it relaxes and interacts with the world. See what works for you and how your body interacts with various CBD strengths.
