So, you’ve done your research and conclude that hemp is a miracle plant. You may even have used Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil and experienced a noticeable difference in your wellbeing. However, explaining hemp’s potential to your loved ones can be an uphill battle. The hard truth is that, for close to a century, the United States waged a bitter war against the cannabis plant. Unfortunately, the campaign incriminated the non-psychoactive hemp plant, tarnishing its centuries-old medicinal reputation.

Fortunately, overcoming objections to hemp is easier today, especially considering its growing acceptance in America and across the world. Public recognition of hemp follows new studies unveiling its value to the human body. With the normalization of hemp as a versatile plant, many are finding even its staunchest opponents championing Hemp Oil and its potential wellness benefits.

The best way to share one’s own experience with Hemp Oil is through a reasoned approach. Granted, it’s easy to get overly enthused about the power of Hemp Oil. However, many skeptics correlate such enthusiasm with naivety. Even though there’s much to tell, developing a simple framework that introduces hemp and then expands to illustrate how Hemp Oil is created, makes the larger story more credible.

Most importantly, in explaining hemp’s potential, be sure to tell your personal story about why hemp works for you.

Hemp, an Original Natural Commodity and Herbal Remedy

It’s important to view the larger picture of hemp as a valuable commodity for most civilizations around the world and throughout recorded history. This perspective highlights the plant as one of the most important natural resources on earth, able to produce a variety of products such as:

  • Building Materials: Eco-conscious builders use hemp as insulation and in finishes. In particular, they use it to produce hempcrete, a biocomposite construction material.
  • Drinks: You can now find hemp milk and hemp energy drinks in health food stores. And, in 2019, FIFCO USA (the parent company of Genesee Brewery) produced the first hemp-infused flavored malt beverage in America.
  • Foods: The hemp seed is an excellent food supplement and serves as an important ingredient in crackers, protein powders, and cheese substitutes.
  • Fuel: The hemp plant serves as raw material for producing biodiesel, ethanol, and methanol.
  • Paper: Hemp is superior to wood for paper pulp and also grows much faster than other types of plants.
  • Rope: For centuries, hemp was synonymous with rope, as its strong fibers perform admirably well for binding goods together.
  • Textiles: Today, many sweatshop-free consumer brands use hemp as an eco-conscious and sustainable material for clothing and shoes.

Historically, ancient peoples relied on hemp for curative purposes, and this practice has been revived in modern times.

Explaining Hemp's Potential as a Curative

Here’s the truth: every medicine produced and consumed today is either natural or synthetic in nature. For instance, people used the bark of several varieties of willow trees as a natural pain reliever for centuries. Today, manufacturers produce their chemical equivalent in the form of over-the-counter pain relief products. With the rising costs of pharmaceutical drugs, coupled with the tragedies of the opioid crisis, many consumers prefer natural remedies. They consider them safe, superior alternatives to the chemical concoctions portioned out to patients daily.

In the midst of the rising interest in natural, sustainable living, Hemp Oil plays a significant role in today’s health and wellness industry. Many with specific ailments and others looking for a general improvement in well-being tout the benefits of Hemp Oil. While CBD and Hemp Oil manufacturers make no definitive medical claims, many consumers use Hemp Oil for the following:

  • Lessening the Impact of Pain: CBD helps reduce high physical discomfort levels and often alleviates minor aches.
  • Easing Anxiety: Anti-anxiety drugs often produce severe side effects, while CBD eases anxiety without such negative results.
  • Providing Balanced Mood Support: CBD interacts positively with our serotonin receptors, the neurotransmitter that regulates mood and social behavior.
  • Supporting Heart and Circulatory Health: By reducing anxiety and lowering stress, CBD contributes to a healthier circulatory system.
  • Reducing Acne: Both its anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to control sebum production make CBD a popular acne treatment.
  • Offsetting the Effects of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy: Patients undergoing treatment for chronic illnesses often find CBD eases nausea, vomiting, and physical discomfort.

Hemp's Other Promising Benefits

Other promising benefits which Hemp Oil may deliver (according to studies currently underway) include:

  • Fighting Tumors: Recent studies with animals show CBD preventing tumors from spreading.
  • Preventing Negative Side Effects From High Blood Glucose Levels: In mouse-based trials, CBD cut the incidence of diabetes by more than half (56%).
  • Reducing Psychotic Episodes: New studies indicate promise in treating individuals with schizophrenia and other mental health conditions.
  • Mitigating the Effects of Substance Abuse: Rat-based studies show that CBD reduces morphine dependence and typically addictive behaviors.

If the virtues of Hemp Oil seem too good to be true, a brief overview of the human body’s endocannabinoid system is in order.

Hemp Oil and Our Endocannabinoid System

Seeing someone truly happy is something to be happy about yourself in many a situations. If someone has had it hard for a while, and finally found something that made them happy, you'd probably support that, given it was a totally healthy, natural, and rather normal means of being happy right? CBD can be one of those things that tips the scales and helps someone just smile a bit more each day.

Compounds from the hemp plant work synergistically with the cannabinoid receptors in the human body. In particular, it is our endocannabinoid system which integrates intelligently with the cannabinoids from the hemp plant. This recently-identified system regulates important functions within our body, including:

  • Appetite
  • Fertility
  • Memory
  • Mood
  • Sleep

When we place our bodies under great stress (a common situation in today’s fast-paced society), our endocannabinoid system goes into overdrive. The phytocannabinoids in hemp connect naturally with our cannabinoid receptors to recharge and deliver synergy to our endocannabinoid system.

Continuing research about hemp points to a potentially healing, symbiotic relationship between our endocannabinoid system and the hemp plant. Simply stated, hemp appears to be the plant most chemically related to our own bodies. It may well prove to be the botanical species most beneficial to our health and well-being. In light of this, explaining hemp’s potential becomes an easier task.

Common Concerns and Questions When Explaining Hemp's Potential to Loved Ones

As mentioned, the misinformation campaign against hemp in the 20th century precipitated public unease against the plant. Even among experienced users, terms are often used interchangeably. Yet, hemp and CBD products offer more nuanced qualities than most people realize.

Hemp, CBD Oil, Hemp Oil, and Hemp Seed Oil: Are They the Same as Each Other?

Much confusion arises because of terms which appear interchangeable but actually refer to specific aspects of the hemp plant. Below, we discuss the most commonly used terms and provide clear definitions for them. The following list provides answers so that explaining hemp’s potential to your loved ones will be a walk in the park.

  • Hemp: This is the actual plant cultivated from the cannabis sativa strain. During the cultivation process, the amount of natural THC in the plant is limited to less than 0.3%. In contrast, a normal cannabis sativa plant may contain as much as 30% THC content. This means the hemp plant effectively produces non-psychoactive compounds that won’t get you high.
Having children in the home is definitely a reason some could be concerned with Hemp Oil and Extracts in the home. Thankfully, with all the advanced child-proofing that can be done to packaging, arguably making it even a little difficult for adults, and some accountability on where it's stored, we've removed a lot of any potential risk, should any be involved to begin with.
  • Hemp Oil: This is extracted from every part of the hemp plant except the seeds. Effectively, the leaves, flowers, and stalks all contain important and healing compounds (called phytocannabinoids). The latter include cannabidiol (CBD), which is extracted from the plant and converted into oils and other products.
  • Hemp Seed Oil: This comes only from the hemp seeds. It does not contain any phytocannabinoids or CBD. However, it is rich in Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids. These fatty acids improve heart and brain health, increase HDL cholesterol, and reduce high blood pressure.
  • CDB Oil: CBD (cannabidiol) is present in all cannabis plants. However, natural cannabis plants also contain higher amounts of THC. By selecting Hemp Oil (not hemp seed oil), the buyer receives all the valuable phytocannabinoids while avoiding any possibility of ingesting THC.

Astute and informed consumers prefer Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil over CBD oil. The former contains minimal THC (less than 0.3 %) but retains all of the useful phytocannabinoids during the extraction process. Consumers also appreciate the fact that hemp is specifically grown and harvested for its health benefits.

Is Hemp Oil Legal?

Some people get confused about medical cannabis and hemp products. Presently, the legality of cannabis products varies from state to state. Some states allow for its recreational use, while others approve it for medical use only. Still other states — albeit a shrinking number — declare all cannabis products illegal. That said, hemp is 100% legal throughout the United States. This means that not only can you buy it in retail outlets, but you can also purchase it online and have it delivered right to your home.

That said, you should be aware that many companies require drug testing as part of the hiring process. Even though only trace amounts of THC appear in Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil, there is a small risk of it appearing on certain drug tests. If this is of concern for you or a loved one, we offer more information in this article about Hemp Oil and drug testing.

Is Hemp Oil Addicting?

Unlike opioids and other prescription drugs, Hemp Oil does not deliver a high. On the contrary, many substance abuse patients use Hemp Oil as a safe, gentle method of withdrawing from addictive medications. In addition, the curative qualities of hemp assure their continued wellbeing. Even though Hemp Oil is not habit-forming, we recommend establishing a consistent daily routine. With regular usage, most people realize the best personal results.

Families of various traditions and backgrounds may have an issue bringing substances into your life to help you feel better. Some are as extreme as disapproving doctor prescribed medication. Calmly explaining the rationale for CBD in your life is the best advice we can give, aside politely reminding them that this truly helps you feel better.

I'm Already on Medications: Can I Take Hemp Oil Safely?

People taking multiple medications are right to be concerned about adding additional supplements to their current regimen. Unlike many prescription drugs, Hemp Oil does not cause negative side effects and rarely results in negative interactions with other medications. We advise patients to consult with their primary care physicians when deciding to add Hemp Oil to their daily routines. Sometimes, a Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil may slow the metabolism of some drugs, particularly blood pressure medications, blood thinners, and certain hepatic drugs. Also, combining Hemp Oil with sedatives should be avoided. With its natural sedative properties, Hemp Oil delivers a gentler relaxation than synthesized sleep medications.

What is the Recommended Serving Size for Hemp Oil?

Even if the FDA allowed us to list recommended serving sizes, we would not do so. Each person is unique and at different stages of their life journey. However, our clients have found the best success with this simple formula: Start small, measure each succeeding result, and adjust accordingly.

Our Hemp Oil tinctures come in bottles with droppers in the cap, making the selection of precise amounts of Hemp Oil easier. Each bottle holds 40 drops and comes in two strengths: 12.5 mg or 25 mg per dropper of hemp phytonutrients for the 500 mg and 1000 mg bottles respectively. We also offer capsules in 25 mg and 50 mg strengths. These tinctures and capsules, combined with our topical treatments, represent an exquisite, full line of Hemp Oil products. Use them to serve your wellness needs and make the introduction to Hemp Oil an equally satisfying experience for your family and friends.

Are All Hemp Oils the Same?

Due to the increasing interest in Hemp Oil and CBD products, many aspiring hemp entrepreneurs flood the burgeoning marketplace each year. And, because the FDA and other regulatory agencies don’t regulate hemp products, many operators seeking a quick buck have no compunction about acquiring low-quality overseas hemp.

In contrast, at Synchronicity®, we oversee the production of all our Hemp Oils from the growing phase to the packaging process. After growing the finest quality proprietary hemp seeds from our patented strain, we tenderly harvest the flowers, leaves, and stems. Then, we deliver them to our lab for the extraction process. During the manufacturing phase, we place the plant material in a coconut or MCT oil “bath” which initiates our LipidTrans® infusion process. This, in turn, maximizes the collection and absorption of all valuable phytocannabinoids. The result is a superior Hemp Oil capable of delivering a True Entourage Effect, taking advantage of the over 100 phytocannabinoids to which the human body readily responds.

Other customers who previously tried other Hemp Oils regularly tell us what a difference changing to Synchronicity® products has made. They maintain that all Hemp Oils are not made equal, which is why they have become avid fans of Synchronicity®.

Finally, at Synchronicity®, you always have the support you need and sensible answers to your questions. We commit to assisting you in your efforts at explaining hemp’s potential to loved ones. To that end, we extend an open invitation to contact us at any time to discuss Synchronicity® Hemp Oil products. And, if you’ve used Synchronicity products, which are your favorites?
