Anti-Aging DIY Facials With Synchronicity Skincare

DIY facials are fun for a girls night. They help your skin and give you ladies something to do while having fun and hanging out. Enjoy your time to the max with some CBD lotion and facial cream that adds an extra benefit to the idea of facials. You get great skin, and the benefits of full spectrum cbd.

In our modern world, many associate “busyness” with ambition and prestige. One study talks about “conspicuous consumption in relation to time.” In a nutshell, the busier you are, the more competent and creative you’re thought to be. In light of COVID-19, many experts tout the necessity of self-care. Yet, many of us pursue “self-care” with as much dogged determination as our careers. We use metric-driven health apps to monitor everything from our heart rates to REM cycles. Talk about stressed! Perhaps, it’s time to consider a return to simpler days with DIY facials and Pina Coladas by the pool.

During stressful times, self-care is critical. For many, DIY facials seem to be a luxury. Yet, they are a great way to slow down and relax. While the latest store-bought masks can be effective, using homemade masks can be both worthwhile and sustainable. They’re also less expensive than what you’ll find on store shelves, and they pack some powerful effects.

No matter your skin type, there’s a DIY facial for you. We’ve put together some recipes to target various issues, from acne to premature aging. Plus, we made our DIY facial recipes even better with the addition of our Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil skincare products. The result is both effective and thrilling.

The Popularity of DIY Facials

Facials are a great way to remove dead skin cells, clear away impurities, and prevent acne breakouts. And, if the statistics hold true, facials (whether commercial or DIY) are rising in popularity all over the world. This is, in part, due to our collective appreciation for anti-aging remedies. According to research, the global face mask market is projected to grow at an unprecedented 6.4% from 2017 to 2026.

Surprisingly, women aren’t the only ones fueling the rise in DIY facials. Men are increasingly interested in better skincare routines. According to a study, 83% of men 65 years and older believe that men need to take better care of their skin. While only 59% of men ages 18-24 feel the same way, the susceptibility of men to skin cancer may change that attitude. According to the American Cancer Society, men are at higher risk of getting melanomas than women.

The organization projects that 100,350 new cases of melanomas will be diagnosed in 2020, and 60,190 of them will be men. The seniors of today had great tans in their youth but must now face a greater risk of developing skin cancer.

The Case for Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil

Masks are a great way to deliver a concentrated dose of active ingredients to the skin because they hold those ingredients right against the skin, often in formulations that don’t dry out. When considering different components to include in the facials, remember that our products have some impressive benefits to offer.

If you’d like to learn more, check out how Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil can support the health of your skin and help to ease the impact of acne.

Still, that’s not the only reason to include our products in your DIY facials.

While the ingredients in these masks have science-backed benefits (we’ll get to that in a minute), they can sometimes be drying or irritating to the skin if they aren’t buffered by soothing ingredients. For this reason, we recommend adding our Youth Serum. The bioactive Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil and nourishing oils in our serum are an excellent way to help battle skin irritation.

If you have very sensitive skin, the thicker texture of our hemp facial cream will provide even more protection. Simply substitute a teaspoon of the cream for the serum. Finally, this bears repeating: when trying out a new product on your skin, do a patch test first. This will help you identify any potentialities for an allergic reaction.

The Science Behind the Ingredients for Synchronicity DIY Facials

If you’re anxious to get on with the liberating experience of creating your own DIY facials, feel free to skip to the next section and start exploring the recipes.

That said, we’re big fans of research here at Functional Remedies. So, it isn’t enough for us to include ingredients just because lots of people use them. Where possible, we’ve based our choices on scientific understanding of how different components of homemade masks affect the skin. And, it turns out that the science is pretty impressive.

You’ll notice that a common quality of these ingredients is that they contain antioxidants. This may make you think that using more than one is redundant. However, it’s worth noting that each antioxidant works in unique ways. In addition, each ingredient offers important benefits, as well. When you bring them together, the whole is more powerful than the sum of its parts.

With high levels of oleic acid and a number of fatty acids, avocado has been shown to increase collagen synthesis and reduce physical discomfort levels. Research has also shown that it seems to decrease itching, dryness, and high histamine levels in the skin.

Cocoa Powder

With its powerful array of polyphenols, cocoa contains antioxidant properties, so it can help combat free radical damage. It also appears to help fight premature aging.

Honey is a perennial favorite in face mask formulations and for good reason. It’s a humectant, which means it draws moisture into the skin. But, it also appears to help regulate the skin’s pH levels. In addition, it has antimicrobial properties, which may help fight the bacteria that causes acne. If that isn’t enough, it also has anti-aging effects.

These nuts are another good source of antioxidants as well as moisturizing fatty acid compounds. They also contain lipid-soluble vitamins.

Avocado is widely regarded as one of those Superfoods. But America stopped talking about Superfoods. They haven't stopped talking about CBD though. With the developing research for different cannabinoids within the spectrum of CBDs, there's new stuff to talk about every week. Be sure you've got a stock of full spectrum CBD oil around the house. Synchronicity sells finely crafted all natural hemp products.

It turns out that chamomile doesn’t just make a soothing cup of tea. This tiny flower also has antioxidant properties and mild antimicrobial action. It also supports health comfort levels, as well. Chamomile is a relative of the daisy, so if you’re allergic to daisies you may want to skip this one.

This powdered spice is a relative of the ginger plant, and it packs quite a punch. Turmeric has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties and may even help fight the proliferation of tumors. Measure the amount you use carefully though. It’s an intense golden orange color. So, don’t overdo it because it can stain your skin.

Greek Yogurt

Thick, tangy Greek yogurt is high in zinc, which has been demonstrated to help promote wound healing and protect the skin from sun damage. The probiotics in yogurt may help reinforce the skin barrier function and modulate the skin’s immune response.

This humble fruit boasts skin-soothing antioxidants, carotenoids, and phenolic compounds.

This is another ingredient that has been widely used to soothe irritated skin, and for good reason. Oatmeal is packed with antioxidants, such as mixed tocopherols and health-supporting compounds.

Its bright orange hue hints at its potent antioxidant effects. Sweet pumpkin has been shown to help ease dryness and soothe irritation.

Aloe Vera

You may have dabbed this cooling gel on a burn, and it seems that there are plenty of science-backed reasons to do so. Aloe supports physical comfort, promotes wound healing, and even has anti-fungal effects.

Rose Hip Oil

Here’s the facts about rosehip oil and what science has to say about it.

Now that we’ve taken a closer look at what these ingredients can do, let’s explore how you can put them to work for you. Keep in mind that these recipes are customizable. So, feel free to adjust your DIY facials to suit your needs.

Recipes for Hydrating Facials

As the weather turns colder, many people struggle with irritated, dry skin. Here are a few masks that will help you ease the itching and redness and drench your skin in moisture.

Creamy Cocoa Comfort

1/4 cup mashed avocado

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1 tablespoon honey

10 drops Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil Youth Serum

Mix all the ingredients together, and spread on the face and neck. Leave for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently wipe away with a warm, damp washcloth.

Almond Hydration

1/4 cup finely ground almonds

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon aloe gel

10 drops Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil Youth Serum

Stir all the ingredients together, adding more almonds if the mix is too runny. Pat it gently onto the face and neck, but don’t rub into the skin, which can increase irritation. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off.

Yogurt Skin Smoothie

1 tablespoon Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon honey

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

10 drops Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil Youth Serum

Mix the ingredients together and apply to the skin. This combination will be runny and can stain clothes and surfaces. So, be sure to keep an old towel handy to catch any drips. Rinse off after 5 to 10 minutes.
