Why Isn’t CBD Working for Me?

We are always pleased when our customers tell us how Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil has helped their wellness routine. But we also know that CBD doesn’t work for everyone.

While Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil has the potential to assist our body and help it maintain its wellness, balance, and vitality, there are several reasons why CBD might not be working for you. From poor quality CBD products to miscalculations regarding dosage, it takes a little bit of time and trial and error to fully evaluate the effects of Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil on your body.

Here are seven reasons why your CBD experience is not what you expected along with tips on maximizing your benefits from Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil.

1. Poor Product Quality

Under-Dosed CBD Products

The CBD market is still largely unregulated. Since it is not supervised by the FDA, CBD products are sold as food supplements. There is no official daily dosage recommendation and CBD products are hardly checked by any official institution.

This means that customers have to be careful and make an informed decision about the quality of the product they are buying.

Synchronicity has received its US Hemp Authority Certification. We are also licensed with the FDA and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and are compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices. We have also received our GMP Certification from third-party auditing agencies NSF and SGS and proudly carry our ISO 9001-2015 Certification. Synchronicity is the only non-pharmaceutical Hemp Oil company to receive this prestigious global designation, making us unique among Hemp Oil producers.

We are so passionate about certification because there have been studies involving random checks on CBD products. In some cases, the products didn’t contain any CBD or had less CBD than was claimed on the label. Under-dosed CBD products create false expectations.

Misleading Labeling

In the same studies, the label was misleading in some of the products, mentioning hemp seed oil rather than Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil. Hemp seed oil is produced from the seeds of Hemp. It is highly nutritional and moisturizing but contains no cannabinoids.

Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil contains all the helpful and beneficial cannabinoids. So, if you are looking for cannabinoids, the label must mention Hemp Oil, cannabidiol, or CBD. Otherwise, you are paying for hemp seed oil—which is delicious but has no CBD.

Poor Quality Products

When you are choosing your Hemp Oil product, make sure you choose sustainably grown Hemp from American farmers. American Hemp farmers are well regulated and require a license to grow Hemp. This means their Hemp is clean and of high quality.

A dependable and trusted Hemp Oil manufacturing company will let you check online the Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for their products. This means they are checking the cleanliness and purity of their products. The CoA states the quantity of CBD and other cannabinoids, as well as the presence of terpenes and other compounds. It also mentions the existence of harmful compounds such as heavy metals, solvents, and pesticides.

2. The CBD Dosage Is Not Right for You

Since there is no recommended daily allowance for CBD, the issue of dosage can be complicated.

In regards to the right dosage for you, you need to remember that many things affect CBD dosage. Age, exercise level, metabolism, food intake, weight, and health expectations need to be taken into account before establishing the right CBD dosage for you.

Older people have a slower metabolism, which means they need less CBD to achieve their health targets. Younger people and people who exercise a lot require larger doses. Taking CBD with food, particularly healthy fats, will help CBD linger in your stomach lining longer, thus improving its bioavailability and effectiveness.

Heavier people have more fat: CBD will attach to their fatty tissues better and for longer, so they need less CBD than skinnier people.

Finally, your health expectations affect the dosage you choose for your body. If you are looking to stave off pain and inflammation you might need a higher dose than if you just want to relax and support your mood.

Dosage is also crucial because CBD may be biphasic: it may have one effect at a low dosage and its opposite at a high one. So, it is crucial that you choose the right dosage.

It is generally advised to start with a relatively low dose such as 5 to 10 mg of CBD per day and increase this gradually until you achieve your health expectations.

3. You Are Not Using Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil

When choosing between hundreds of CBD products, you will be flooded with choices. You will find Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil, Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil, and CBD isolate.

Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil contains CBD as well as all the other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, minerals, and vitamins of hemp. This means you will be getting CBD, THC (always below the legal threshold of 0.3%), CBC, CBN, CBG, CBDV, CBDA, THCV, alongside all the other helpful and beneficial natural compounds of Hemp. Research suggests that most botanical compounds of Hemp may have beneficial qualities such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties.

More importantly, when all the compounds work together, they may enhance each other’s effectiveness in a synergetic way, making the end result greater than the sum of all the ingredients. This is what is called the entourage effect. Here at Synchronicity, we give you the True Entourage Effect™.

Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil is similar to Full-Spectrum but without any traces of THC.

As for CBD isolate, it contains only CBD, thus it lacks all the other helpful cannabinoids and botanical compounds of Hemp.

4. You Expect Your CBD to Work Overtime

You shouldn’t expect a dramatic effect the moment you swallow your Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil.

CBD works in a gentle way, making its way to our endocannabinoid system (ECS)—the system that is responsible for maintaining your body’s natural balance. It may take time and re-adjustments to your daily dosage and frequency of consumption before you can feel the desired effects.

Your body needs to get used to CBD and other cannabinoids. As these build up in your system, your endocannabinoid system will start using them to help support its balance.

5. You Expect a ‘High’ from CBD Consumption

CBD is non-addictive, non-hallucinogenic, and non-psychotropic. This means it doesn’t alter how you perceive reality around you.

Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil won’t get you high. This is what makes it so valuable to human health and this is why it has been legalized across the United States. If you thought you would feel woozy, high, or euphoric after taking CBD, then you will certainly be disappointed.

6. You Believe Extraordinary Claims about CBD

Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil is meant to support your health; not cure diseases. If the label on a CBD product presents it as a cure to diseases like cancer, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and more, stay away from this brand.

Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil can help your body maintain its mental and physical balance. It can gently nudge your own endocannabinoid system to work more efficiently and make better use of your own cannabinoids. It may provide you with wellness and relaxation and may also help your body keep at bay inflammation and pain.

However, it is not medication and you are bound to be disappointed if you treat it as one.

7. CBD Won’t Work if You Don’t Help Your Body Yourself

No matter how much CBD and Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil you consume, if you don’t respect and help your body with a healthy routine, you can’t expect CBD to work miracles.

By trying to stay healthy, your body will make the most of the Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil you are taking. Adopt a balanced diet with plenty of healthy fats that increase the absorption of CBD and other cannabinoids.

Try to exercise even a little bit: walk your dog or try to cycle instead of driving whenever you can. Exercise helps your brain and body feel better.

Many people take CBD to help with their sleep patterns. Help your body make the most of CBD by adopting a routine that is conducive to sleep. Create a sleeping routine, avoid caffeine before bed, and keep away from your TV and phone before going to bed. This way, you will help Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil interact better with your body and mind.

Finally, keep in touch with friends and relatives. Anxiety and depression can often be alleviated with human contact, communication, and a feeling of belonging to a community. Studies suggest that CBD may help support your mood but you should also help your mind get the most out of your Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil.
