How Does Camphor Cream Compare to CBD for Aches and Pains?

Muscle pain can be annoying, preventing you from enjoying the small pleasures of life. A walk with the dog, some DIY, or just moving freely around the house can become demanding tasks.

It doesn’t even have to be chronic pain. Muscle pain after strenuous exercise can tear your muscles and cause soreness and aches. Not to mention if you sleep awkwardly and wake up feeling like a piano was sitting on your shoulders throughout the night.

We all deserve a happy life free of pain. You will find hundreds of products for back pain, muscle pain, and headaches. Sometimes, it’s hard to choose which one works best.

Botanical relief supplements often include camphor. Camphor is produced from the camphor tree and is used to help alleviate pains, inflammation, and aches.

So how does camphor compare to CBD for aches and pains? Both are herbal compounds with beneficial properties. The main difference is that CBD interacts with the cannabinoid receptors located on the skin.

Through our extensive studies on Hemp and our quest to improve our products, we have incorporated camphor essential oil in our Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil Sports Balm to give our customers the benefit of two significant botanical compounds.

But how do CBD and camphor compare against each other?

What Is Camphor?

Camphor is produced from the camphor tree. Originally grown in Southeast Asia, camphor trees can now be found in Florida, Texas, and Georgia, where they seem to have adapted to the drier growing conditions.

Camphor is extracted from the tree and then processed, usually through heat and steaming, to distill its unique benefits. Camphor is a terpene, one of the aromatic compounds that give plants their characteristic aromas.

Once extracted, camphor is blended into salves, balms, lotions, and creams to help alleviate pain and inflammation.

What Does Camphor Do?

Camphor is used to assist with pain, aches, swelling, and inflammation.

It is absorbed through the skin, where it appears to work in collaboration with the local nerve system.

Research suggests that camphor may help with occasional muscular pain when applied locally. A clinical study on rats showed that camphor also has anti-inflammatory properties that can be particularly helpful in fending off occasional inflammation.

How Does Camphor Compare to CBD?

Camphor is not a cannabinoid. It’s a botanical compound that may help with occasional pain and inflammation.

Research, clinical studies, and trials suggest that CBD, too, may have anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving properties.

Additionally, CBD is a cannabinoid that interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), the system responsible for maintaining our body’s homeostasis, or natural balance. Our ECS is involved in a number of bodily functions, including appetite, mood, memory, learning, motor perception, temperature perception, reproduction, immune system, and inflammation, among others.

Our endocannabinoid system works with endocannabinoids—cannabinoids produced by the body—and the respective receptors. Endocannabinoids bind to the receptors and alert neurotransmitters when something needs fixing.

Cannabinoid receptors called CB1 and CB2 are located throughout the body. Interestingly, these receptors are also found on the human skin. This implies that, when applied, CBD may interact with these receptors to help the ECS make the most of its endocannabinoids.

Research suggests that transdermal CBD may help reduce occasional pain and inflammation: a model on arthritic rats displayed that cannabidiol had pain-relieving qualities.

How about Combining CBD with Camphor?

When our Synchronicity team was researching nature’s immense treasure of plants, we decided to create a product that would soothe occasional pains and muscle aches.

Our research team opted for a number of hard-working botanical compounds. We created a potent Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil sports balm that combines Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil with camphor, arnica, safflower, rosemary, and menthol.

Our Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil Sports Balm is available as a roll-on for easy application. Athletes and active people on the go will appreciate how easy it is to keep it in their sports bag and apply it before or after exercise or a strenuous workout.

Synchronicity Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil

Our Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil Sports Balm includes all the wellness of Hemp. Hemp contains 540 phytonutrients, of which CBD is just one. Cannabinoids such as CBC, CBN, CBG, CBDV, CBDA, and THCV team up with flavonoids and terpenes such as humulene, limonene, and myrcene to provide the best anti-inflammatory, soothing, and pain-relieving results.

Even better, research suggests that when all Hemp compounds work together, they may enhance each other’s effectiveness. It’s as if siblings are working together to build a house. They each provide their skills and the end result is a house that is far grander and better than could be expected.

This synergetic effectiveness of Hemp has been named the entourage effect. It appears that when all Hemp ingredients work in tandem, the end result is greater than the sum of its parts. The Synchronicity team has studied Hemp intensely to let you enjoy the True Entourage Effect™.

Our Sports Balm combines all of Hemp’s precious phytonutrients with camphor to give our customers the most potent and effective muscle relief possible. Its soothing and relaxing effect will help you enjoy your active life with maximum muscle flexibility and joint elasticity.

Exercise away! When you’re done, rub our Full-Spectrum Hemp Oil Sports Balm and Feel the Full Effect™ of our Sports Balm’s unique combination of CBD, cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and camphor.
